Doug Dvorak's own trials began in the form of two virulent types of skin cancer diagnosed in May of 1998. This breakout speaker was given an incredibly poor prognosis due to multiple locations of the cancers and the diffuse nature of their spread. Doug astounded himself and the medical community when he survived both of these brutal diseases. He realized after defeating cancer twice, that by comparison no personal or business challenge-- would be, could be, or should be-- as great.
Doug reached out for a challenge to test his theory of survivorship, triumph, and gratitude in coping with cancer. Doug Dvorak has always been an athlete; someone willing to analyze and inspire himself; now he was embarking on an expedition to the roof of Africa. Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain on earth at 19, 342 feet. After completing this profound experience, Doug has continued climbing and has since topped some of the highest peaks in Europe, South America, Antarctica, and North America.
